Tj Baker Holm for Congress :: A New Beginning for District 18

Tj was inspired by greatness from District 18, Barbara Jordan and Mickey Leland, at an early age. When asked about memories of her childhood in District 18, Tj replies, “Our District is not poor, it is, and has been, rich with potential.” She also remembers the bond she shared with her neighbors, fellow District 18 residents, while standing in a government assistance line for food. “It didn’t matter what color we were, or what religion or age this person was- we were hungry people. Together.”

It was then, as young as 11, that Tj knew she had to serve the public. As a member of several civic and community groups, Tj has served the public for decades. Her interests in fair government, equal rights, and homegrown representation affected countless numbers of Texans. After quietly serving the community that raised her, Tj decided it was time to take her struggle for A New Beginning for District 18 to the next level.
